Most of 1 Chronicles 16 is a celebration of praise. David has finally brought the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem and the people rejoice. Then David gives a beautiful Psalm to the people and the priests.

In this song David calls the heavens, the Earth and all who dwell in it to join and sing praises to the Lord. It even mentions the Love of God that endures forever.

David has been called a very mixed man, full of great deeds and also great lows in his life. Yet it seems that this characteristic of a man of worship never leaves David. He constantly acknowledges the majesty, power and authority of God in his praise. He always has a praise for God, in his trials and even in judgment his heart calls to God.

In spite of his trials and failures David remains an example of what is to live a life of praise.
